Results​

Below are the results of a comparison of two similar HeadStart/VPK sites. Each site evaluated their HeadStart/VPK students in four areas that are key to the development of literacy:

• Print Knowledge,
• Phonological Awareness,
• Mathematics, and
• Oral Language/Vocabulary.

The primary difference between the two sites is that Site 1 had 13 weeks of the MusicScores! Violin Program prior to the evaluation.  Site 2 did not participate in the MusicScore! Program. 

Clearly, the students who participated in the MusicScores! Program had better results!
